Since we started out our Business Advisors have amassed an incredible amount of experience as well as training to make sure we continue to bring you the very best in solid business support and advice.

Over £4 million of new funding to carry on our work

I was delighted that based on the company's results since 2007, we successfully bid for over £4m of European money to continue the work we do. As a social enterprise this means that all of that money goes into providing that support, no shareholders or dividends, just a dedication to making a positive difference.

Nurturing the entrepreneurs of the future

I would also like people to know the immense amount of great work or enterprise in education team, Inc. is carrying out with local schools. Anyone who has already worked with e-factor knows that we believe enterprise is an attitude. With this in mind Inc. has partnered up with some motivated individuals at schools across our area to give every pupil a chance to be enterprising, learn what it's really like to start a business and understand that working for yourself is a real and positive choice.

It may be hard work and require a lot of determination and commitment, but the rewards are tremendous and in a scarce job market, knowing how to employ yourself is exciting and essential.

Helping people to get started

Over the last few months our Getting Started Workshops have been hugely popular. A 2 hour session that gives you all you need to know about what it takes to be self employed or start a business or social enterprise, and what support you can expect from us.

It's a great introduction and if after the workshop you are still keen to pursue your ambition, one of our brilliant coaches will work with you one to one, for however long it takes to get you ready to start. And when you're ready you will be given a Business Advisor who will be assisting and guiding you all the way through the first year of business. e-factor will be with you every step of the way

It's not only about start ups

If you are in business already I would urge you to get in touch and ask for one of our Advisors to tell you about the Business Health Check. All it requires is about 3 hours of your time sitting with one of our professional advisors discussing your business. The results are sometimes revealing and always informative, but they provide you with an objective honest overview of your business, the challenges and the opportunities it is facing and will face. The best part is that your advisor will provide you with all the support they can, to help overcoming those challenges or grasp the opportunities.

Support for social enterprises

Finally I wanted to say that we have some wonderful resources and support for anyone or any group looking at starting a social enterprise, particularly useful for people or groups looking to run services previously run by the local authority or community groups providing a service but struggling to be sustainable.
