Enterprise Centres to give life to new businesses
Development of new enterprise centres across North East Lincolnshire have reached completion and are ready for occupancy offering start-up businesses high quality affordable incubation space on a flexible basis. The strategy spearheaded by e-factor, which has helped almost 400 new businesses get off the ground since 2007, hope the centres will become a hive of innovation, networking, growth and enterprise.
“The potential of our e-factor centres is enormous,” said e-factor Managing Director Mark Webb. “Our incubation spaces allow individuals that require a workshop, retail, light industrial space or office accommodation to grow in a supportive and enterprising environment...”
Understanding the hurdles faced when finding the right home for a business, e-factor’s incubation spaces are provided through easy-in, easy-out rental terms, removing a big financial barrier for new business owners but the benefits don’t stop there...
“Starting a business at an e-factor centre gives individuals the opportunity to take advantage of a wide variety of mentoring events such as marketing and bookkeeping workshops as well as ongoing support from our nationally accredited businesses advisors.”

So far e-factor has purchased centres in Railway Street, Immingham, Willows, Yarborough Road, Wellington Street and St Peters Avenue in order to provide a wide variety of units and sizes ideal for a range of businesses including retail, office, lifestyle, light industrial / workshops and social enterprises.
“We take care of all property management matters leaving you free to focus on your business,” e-factor estates manager Tony Parkinson explains, “Move in and you will find internet and telephone services ready to use. Some of our centres also provide services including secretarial and administrative support, telephone answering as well as training and conference rooms.”
Just recently e-factor was awarded ICT Active accreditation ranging from excellent to leading edge status for all of its centres. ICT Active is recognised as the national standard for the provision of Information Communications Technology (ICT) in office buildings.
“We are delighted to open these facilities to support individuals in to self-employment,” Mark Webb continued. “The vision of e-factor is to give all the help needed to people inspired by enterprise. Creating incubation spaces is removing yet another barrier to people realising their aspirations to start their own business.”
Paul Fairless who started his MOT and servicing garage, Pelham Central Service Station, at the Immingham based e-factor centre commented;
“I think the centres are a great idea. Starting-up at an e-factor centre has provided me with a business ready environment to become established and the advice and support from e-factor has been tremendous.”
